Artificial color-coded raw data double image of a Defocusing Particle Tracking Velocimetry (DPTV) experiment in an open wet clutch at istm (frame A in red; frame B in green). The flow was seeded with 10 µm particles and two images were recorded in a short amount of time to quantify the displacement of each particle. The diameter of the defocused particle image contains explicit information about the depth coordinate. The data was accomplished with a pco.edge 5.5 sCMOS camera with a Zeiss Milvus 50mm f2 lens. If Anaglyph 3D glasses are used the displacement is coded in the depth coordinate.
