An artistic combination of simulations of combusting iron particles at 4 different Stokes numbers. Not only does it look beautiful, but also lots of CPU hours were spent doing these simulations. Thankfully we are doing all of this in the name of renewable energy transition, so maybe in a few years this iron combustion will take place at industrial scale to release chemically stored heat. Will never look as colorful in reality though...
