The FLUIDPIC entry shows the view into the test section of the blower wind tunnel EMMY at ISTM. Checkerboard-type surfaces consisting of alternating smooth and rough areas made of P60 sandpaper are mounted symmetrically on top and bottom of the test secti- on. As the surface quality of the smooth patches is extremely high, the reflection of the opposite surface can be seen. Lines of constant velocity stemming from velocity measu- rements using hot-wire anemometry are depicted in one plane. The darker the color of a line, the faster is the flow at this position. The shown results are taken from the measure- ment above a surface consisting of strips oriented in the mean flow direction. They were chosen for the abstract as they look more interesting than those from the measurement above the checkerboard.
